Applied Spectral Imaging is a global leader in spectral image acquisition and analysis systems for multi-color FISH and molecular cytogenetics assays. Applied Spectral Imaging’s core competencies focus around clinical cytogenetics and cell biology with recent advancements in high output scanning and additional modular imaging solutions for various clinical pathology, oncology and R&D applications. ASI also offers a full array of reagents and application software including, but not limited to complete database management and full networking resources. ASI is looking for a well organized, highly motivated, and energetic Sales Manager to join its Vista, CA team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a list of sales prospects (mainly cytogenetic and pathology laboratories) based on product and market understanding.
  • Initiate contact with new prospects and follow-up on all additional leads for the territory.
  • Be able to communicate the benefits and competitive advantages of the relevant product solution through effective product presentations.
  • Develop and cultivate contacts with existing ASI clients, fitting the solution to their needs.
  • Maximize both present and long term sales and gross profits, to reach and possibly go beyond quota.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Several years of medical capital equipment sales experience with documented achievements.
  • Exceptional communication skills including oral and written presentation skills at an executive level.
  • Familiarity with the basics of biology and/or medicine including awareness of major laboratory technologies and equipment.
  • Ability to understand and master complex technical and medical terminology and present them in layman terms to any relevant counterpart
  • Knowledge in Genetics, Biology, Pathology, or Medicine is a plus.
  • Ability to manage a large geographic territory and a willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Proficient with computer technology and other relevant communication technologies (PDA, mobile e-mailing, etc.) 

Salary:    Basis + uncapped commission + benefits
