Val Golan, Managing Director, Owner, New Jersey, USA

Dr. Val Golan spent more than 15 years in the High-tech industry, having held senior technical and managerial positions at global companies such as Elron, Comverse Technologies, and within the RAD group (Director of Sales and Marketing for Europe at RIT, Director of Carrier Sales at RADWARE, Senior Product Manager for High-Speed products at RAD Data). In her last position at PANDATEL Inc as VP of Marketing and Product Management / General Manager, she was responsible for marketing an array of Fiber telecom/datacom products into the American market and managing the operations of the US subsidiary. Hiring the best talent in her corporate positions is key to her excellent perception of client requirements and skills assessment. Val has developed a series of evaluation and selection tools for top executives of global companies, and placed a large number of CxOs in the US for Israeli companies operating in this market. She has been serving as a proxy VP HR/OD for several local and remote high-tech and bio-tech companies since 2008.

Val has published several papers and articles in professional magazines (such as Fiber Technologies, Telecom Magazine and ComputerWorld) and written business columns in major Israeli Newspapers such as Maariv, Yedihot NJ, and Globes. She has been a guest speaker at Tel-Aviv University, Columbia University, and several professional forums as well as an advisor and presenter for the Israeli Economic Mission in NYC

Val holds an MBA (international marketing and finance) from the Institut European des Affaires in France, a Masters of Sciences (Information Systems and Organizational Behavior) from Tel-Aviv University, a combined Ph.D. in Management, all degrees Magna Cum Laude, and is now completing her dissertation for a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Global HR Management) from NCU. Her current dissertation explores the subject of Cross-Cultural Proficiency at NASDAQ-traded Israeli companies in the US.

 

Maya Bashan, Senior HR Consultant, Business Partner, New Jersey, USA

Maya brings to the team over 10 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, and organizational management. Prior to her current role, she served as Managing Director for a large plastics manufacturer, where she successfully initiated market expansion within the USA, Canada and Mexico. Contributing to her business acumen was an ability to identify raw talent; hire, train and effectively manage sales, marketing and administrative teams. Previous to that position, she managed the Human Resource department of a leasing company in the Metro NY area for over 6 years, focusing specifically on policies and the human side of organizations. Maya’s expertise is in evaluating a person/organization fit from a cultural aspect, with an emphasis on global/Israeli companies operating in the US.

Maya holds a graduate degree in Applied Sociology from Montclair State University and is currently writing a doctoral dissertation for a Ph.D. in Public Policy at the University of Baltimore.

Ed Navis, Senior Consultant, HR Business Partner, New Jersey, USA

Ed Navis has partnered with executive management for over 20 years to improve financial performance by selecting and managing top notch human capital. Michal Shahal, Senior Consultant, HR Business Partner, SF/Bay Area, USA

With more than 10 years of recruiting experience in the high-tech industry in Israel, heading recruitment for companies such as Gilat Satellite Networks, LaserComm, Voltaire, and a VC (Yazam/Jerusalem Global), Michal Shahal has acquired outstanding knowledge and understanding of HR processes.
